The mission of the World Silambam Association (WSA) is to provide effective international governance by constantly improving technical rules and regulating Silambam competitions or participation in international events or sporting arenas and to be recognized as an Olympic and Paralympic sport. The World Silambam Association (WSA) also serves as an international organization for the governance and long-term development of Indian Traditional Arts and Sports for Education, Health, Fitness, Culture, Nature, Climate Change, Recreation, and the dissemination of all related information.
- To plan and carry out activities related to Indian Traditional Arts such as Silambam, Kuttu Varisai, Traditional Yoga and Varma Kalai.
- To promote, encourage, and develop training for communities and stakeholders at all levels: Nationals, Continents and International.
- To support, promote, and uphold the highest Indian Traditional Arts Service standards and professional ethics of training in accordance with International Standards.
- To provide expertise in the areas of information, management, training, and networking for the Arts, Sports, Educational, Heritage, Culture, Development, Governance, Humanitarian and Community Service industry for systematic and professional compliance.
- To foster and strengthen links with worldwide NGOs to exchange knowledge, experience, and resources.
